This year’s celebration focuses on Women in Leadership working towards achieving an equal future in a Covid 19 world. In reflection on the amazing words by Michelle Obama, we in a special way, celebrate the dynamic female members of the MEMPROW team. Who throughout the pandemic have continued to power social transformation through powering adolescent girls’ and young women’s agency to claim their rights and achieve their aspirations. While managing and executing programs and projects that build girls’ and young women’s leadership skills; shift patriarchal mindsets and build capacity to take action for equality, they continue to challenge gender bias and empower the young women they work with in doing same in the drive to attaining equal representation and bridging the inequality gap. In the same vane we celebrate the female members of the Board of Directors, whose leadership continues to strategically steer MEMPROW to build young women’s agency and a feminist movement for an inclusive and violence free society.
