Judy Obitre-Gama is an advocate of the courts of judicature of the Republic of Uganda. She started her legal career as a legal officer in Fourways Investments Limited, a private holding company; then proceeded to lecture at the School of Law, Makerere University. Judy has been a pioneer officer in a number of instances – Environmental Lawyer , National Environment Management Authority (NEMA); Head, Legal & Surveillance and Company Secretary, Uganda Securities Exchange Limited (USE); Board Secretary, Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB); and Executive Director, National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA). In addition to the MEMPROW Board, she serves as Board Member, Bank of Uganda; and a Board Member for the Women’s Centre for Job Creation. Judy is a member of the Rotary Club of Port Bell, a member of the Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society and the Uganda Women Lawyer’s Association (FIDA-Uganda).
