Learning from Peer to Peer Model: Strengthening the Implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Adolescents and Young Adults in Terego Districts
During the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic era, Uganda registered soaring teenage pregnancy statistics, especially in the rural communities with the West Nile sub-region registering a total of 354,736 in 2020 and 196,499 in the first six months of 2021 according to UNFPA. Indicating a huge gap in SRH needs resulting from limited information, misinformation, negative myths, and misconceptions related to sexuality and AGYWs’ limited access to available services.
