As custodians of culture, traditional leaders have the greatest influence on altering underlying values and beliefs that are detrimental to community members and promoting positive change in our communities. However, their potential remains untapped most of the time. Our findings show that when traditional leaders are actively involved in prevention activities and projects to eliminate violence against women, much can be achieved.
