MEMPROW Participates in Key Discussions on Peace and Environment at CUEA

From August 12-16, MEMPROW actively participated in vital discussions on peace and environment hosted by the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). This significant engagement reflects our commitment to promoting a just and sustainable world through our dedication to climate justice and gender equality.

Our Programs Director Ms. Sarah Nakame, represented MEMPROW at this event, bringing invaluable insights and experiences to the conversation. The discussions centered around the intersection of peace, environmental sustainability, and gender equality, highlighting the critical role of knowledge-sharing and collaboration in achieving these goals.

"Our participation in these discussions aligns with MEMPROW's mission to empower young women and girls as advocates for social change," said our Programs Director. "By engaging with thought leaders and like-minded organizations, we strengthen our collective efforts toward climate justice and sustainable development."

The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including environmentalists, gender activists, academicians, and policymakers, to explore innovative solutions and strategies for promoting peace and environmental sustainability. MEMPROW's contributions were particularly focused on advocating for inclusive policies that address the unique challenges faced by women and girls in climate change and peace building efforts.

As an organization committed to gender equality and climate justice, MEMPROW continues to collaborate with various partners to create awareness, build capacity, and advocate for policies that promote a sustainable future for all.
