Gender and Climate Justice

Our Climate Justice program is dedicated to centering young women and girls in the fight against climate change, recognizing the disproportionate impact it has on marginalized communities. As feminists and advocates for social justice, we understand that climate change is not just an environmental issue but also a matter of equity and human rights.

Our program focuses on raising awareness about the unique vulnerabilities faced by these communities due to climate change, while also highlighting the crucial role that women and girls play in climate resilience and sustainability. Through comprehensive training sessions, interactive workshops, and hands-on agroecology practices, we equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to advocate for climate justice and implement sustainable climate change adaptation and mitigation solutions in their communities.

We conduct campaigns in both community settings and learning institutions to foster a deeper understanding of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. Our approach is holistic and intersectional, emphasizing the need for inclusive and equitable climate action that addresses the root causes of environmental degradation while promoting gender equality and social justice.

As we nurture a supportive network of young women climate advocates, MEMPROW remain committed to driving systemic change and advancing gender and climate justice. We invite partners, allies, and stakeholders to join us in this critical work to ensure a just, sustainable future for all.
